Duct cleaning or duct sealing: which problem are you solving?

A dusty vent does not tell the whole story. Return grilles naturally collect dust as air moves through them. That alone does not establish that the ducts need cleaning.

Cleaning addresses accumulated material. EPA recommends considering it for documented conditions such as pests, substantial visible mold or excessive debris. Any underlying cause also needs attention.

Sealing addresses leaking air. Aeroseal deposits sealant at eligible leak sites; accessible large defects need repair first. It does not reconstruct damaged ductwork.
